Senior Citizens in our Country are feeling ignored We are now about 12 crores in population or more than 18% of the electorate 70% of us belong to BPL 66% are so poor that they can not afford two meals a day. Every day disabled, terminally ill elders are abandoned in temples, on high- ways or in Hospitals. A proof that elders are neglected in India is recent UN study placing India at lowest rung close to Afganistan as far as their wellness is concerned. Pl consider them in Budget RNM

Post offices have almost stopped issuing stamps. So Why can't Government start introducing Rs1 , Rs 5 and Rs 10 notes with pictures of Nehru/Gandhi/ Vallabhai Patel and in another Nehru/ Gandhi/ Abdul Kalam Azad and soon. Keep changing pictures (with Gandhi being common) every 6 months to 1 year? This way you would have appeased the minorities too!!!

Particularly pharma companies which unethical business practices without the knowledge of depositors are having payment problems. What is the difference between Shardha scam and manufacturing companies doing unethical business and landing into payment problem?

As senior citizens we are being put to hardships by companies which have collected fixed deposits and not paying principal and interest on maturity. Request you to kindly ban all companies from accepting fixed deposits. These include UNITECH, Ind Swift, Micro Technologies, Elder Health Care ltd, Why can;t SEBI start auditing all companies accepting deposits. This will be the problem if companies are allowed to enter banking sector on their own.

Dear FM, It will be better if PPF rebate is given separately rather than u/s 80C, as insurance, child's education, PF, etc. are calculated under 80C and if someone want's to claim benefit under PPF it does'nt give any tax benefit if 80C is already fullfilled. So, if possible, to develop saving habits among youth it will be a good option to explore. Need to find a solution between making PPF separate from 80C and increasing tax rebate from 2.5 lakh.
