Moderate the taxes and slabs. Cut out the freebies. Simplify.....& simplify the tax system. For eg, the saral form is still not saral!! Why does one have to select which type of form one wants to fill ie ITR IV, V etc. The system should classify according to the data filled by the user. The front end of filling the form should be the same for all types of income earners. Instead of incremental selling of PSU shares, privatise them in one go. As the PM says: The govt has no business to be in it.

We appreciate your words jaitleyji - that India could not afford to spend beyond its means and leave it to the next generation to repay the resultant debt. But sir People are being harresed from local state and municipal taxes.you should make some law for state if they dont have money they shouldnt bring such schemes/policies

The safety appliances are integral part of the manufacturing process & are important for the safety of the valuable human resource. Workers & staff going on the shop floor are compulsorily required to wear the appliances. Thus it has a direct nexus with the manufacturing process. Clarification should be issued allowing the buyers of industrial safety appliances, to avail Cenvat credit on the Excise duty paid.

Honourable Supreme Court order in the case of Jayanti Food Processing (P) Ltd. vs. Commissioner of C. Ex., has settled the position in respect of MRP applicability in various situations. However the Central Excise department has still kept its appeals in litigation. Also the show cause notices are still continued. An appropriate departmental clarification should be given in respect of MRP based assessment to stop further show cause notices & reduce the unnecessary burden on judiciary.

The Government with its best intention has given ‘retail sales price slab’ based concessional rates for Excise duty in the previous year’s budget to Footwear however at the execution level litigation on MRP applicability to industrial footwear is becoming hurdle in passing on the benefits to the end user- industry & consumer. In the upcoming budget for Chapter heading 64 the concessional rate of duty should be made available whether the valuation is under Section 4 or Section 4 A.

I really didn't understand why last govt put TDS on each flat owner. It's tedious process to track millions flat owner rather than few hundreds builders. Even it is not easy for NRIs like us even though it is on line. We should make it simple n easy. Many people are paying 1% TDS part to builder, they do not know how to pay Govt. Why do not Govt collect that 1% from builder and we pay the same 1% withour own EMI. It is easy for Govt to track and win win situation for reality customers like us.

1) Education: India's state expenditure on education is only 3.17% of GDP, below the world's average of 4.3%. 2) Health: The spending on health is only 1% of GDP. 3) Women Security: India is placed 85th among 121 countries for reported rapes and 39th for unreported rapes. 4) Social Protection: India spends 1.4% of GDP on social protection among the lowest in Asia. The above four are major problems facing in India. In Budget, we can give importance to these especially education and health.

With advancing age senior citizen find it increasingly difficult to file income tax return, and after a stage it becomes impossible. Since the Income tax authorities have online data against PAN numbers, suggestion is to deduct appropriate taxes online from their Pension accounts and FDs and relieve the senior citizen from filing Income Tax Return each year.

Most senior citizen depend on pension and returns from FDs in Banks. They generally avoid market related instruments which always promise higher returns, but have poor liquidity and susceptible to huge loss in case of market crash. Request to consider returns from FDs after moderating them with inflation during the same period. Only the net effective income shall be taxed. a negative income shall be allowed where the return is lower than the inflation.
