Conventional education alone cannot meet the needs and aspiration of higher education. What proactive policies and strategies need to be devised and developed to encourage online education and overcome any implementation issues which are currently hindering its optimization? Also how can we strengthen ODL systems so as to ensure their quality and gain greater acceptability?

Online courses for learning Hindi, Sanskrit, English and all other regional languages may be done. This may be done through poems, story, documentary or other type of easy leaning approach.Being Sanskrit is the mother of all languages, by leaning the same, one can easily lean all Indian languages, Urdu, which helps top learn Arabic and other Aramaic languages and Russian languages. In order to make on global mentor, Govt may urgently do platform to learn Sanskrit through online platform.

Huge avoidable cost on account of infrastructure can be saved through online education. Secondly properly vetted lectures and e-notes can be uniformly provided through out India at least possible cost. Medical system and its classes like Homeopathy, Bio-Chemistry, Batch flower medicine etc can be well managed through online platform. Govt may urgently promote all online courses which satisfy the concerned regulatory requirement. This can ensure high quality education at low cost.

Sir This is one the best way and very good initiative to make policies. I would like put some suggestions here. 1. Online education specially MOOCs must be part of open and Distance education. It may also be part of face to face conventional education. 2. Credit of online education/MOOCS may be made mandatory for earning any Degree 3. Print material must be minimized. 4. Digital study materials to be promoted in the form of digital slate/laptop/palmtop/tablet etc with loaded material

Kindly incorporate these inputs when you make policies pertaining to higher education. This change can make students employable and competent in their respective sectors. The provision of extending degree program by IITs and NPTEL would be good initiate to help out millions at the same time reaching to the needy with quality education at minimum cost. The youths of this country are in the need of the mentioned initiatives.

Today I heard about scraping of UGC, Kindly consider the renaming of courses across the stream. It is considered that those who are doing BA are comparatively less demanded in the job industry. For instance BA can be renamed as BSS i.e Bachelor of Social Sciences, and course structure should be revised to make holder these degrees employable. If someone is interested in Social Sciences he/she should be trained to work with community, NGOs, Welfare Boards, Rehabilitation Centers and so on.

Honorable Minister of HRD, I appreciate your initiative of NPTEL-IITs online courses. But the scope of this initiative can be increased by including full fledged degree courses like MBA, BBA and other PG Diploma courses. The private institutions are already offering these courses but It would be become very reliable once you direct the higher institutions to offer the same. There are thousands of people who want to do professional courses but due to economic constraints they can not do.

make the video making mandatory for every lecture the teacher gives. this is the most effective way to enhance the education quality. as a student myself, i can gurantee this. and that video should be uploaded on the university's website so that absentees n other students could also benefit. making the teacher conscious is the first step towards compelling them to prepare better lecture. Mrs. Smrirti Irani i have high hopes from you.
