The expenditure on R&D in India is only 0.80% of GDP which needs to be enhanced to 1.5%. What are the strategies needed to pursued for promoting research & innovation across all disciplines, promote inter-disciplinary research and make India become a favoured destination for R&D projects.

Set up IP Commercialization Cells in every Govt funded institution with set annual targets for protecting IPR and drawing commercial benefits from those. One this will ensure that there is awareness and research is high on IPR; two, patent attorneys and patent agents will get ample job openings. This is one way of placing Indian research high on global platform.

1.Every Collage/University teachers should involve with research projects and its mandatory. 2.After successfully completion of projects they should be given monetary reward and promotion. 3.Every teacher should have a student group for help in research work and its mandatory for the students also. 4.All colleges should be provided with world class labs and virtual labs. 5.Research contribution of students also given equal value with exam grades. 6.Gov. should have a patent policy for this

There are few points one must do for promoting research 1) Provide technology and equipment required for the research 2) Provide enough of finance to the researcher so that he/she would never face problem due to money in his/her research and also sustain a comfortable life 3) Encourage students for research by organising various competitions on different levels and different topics and provide funds for there research

if you want to people take part in research, 1)you need to motivate them with rewarding it with good money(especially latest research(implement it)). that's how people will take part and providing the needed help. 2) provide access to technology 3) provide material online or shops at best price 4) providing inovative minds help

Fastest way to get research going in country would b to more involve Universties in defense projects(pvt capital is very conservative in our country and will only follow once govt. takes the first steps. Also we lag a lot in hardware tech so starting R&D in pvt sector will not b feasible immediately). Teachers should be mandated to involve student, these long gestation projects could help spin off lateral uses of technologies boosting both invovation, research n manufacture in the country.

1. Invite project proposal for a particular problem. 2. Reduce tax on scientific machines made in India. 3. Popular science magazines should available in all regional languages 4.Reduce the cost of internet in all modes.
