Post Doctoral Fellowships should be initiated at all departments/centers of IIT's/IISER's/IIM's so that Ph.D passouts of these prestigious institutions get research exposure and become trained to become faculty memebers at such institutes. Each IIT/IISER should give research grant of Rs 3 lakhs to each Ph.D student so that he can publish and present 3 research papers in international conferences outside India during his Ph.D.This global exposure of Ph.d students should be mandatory.

Just Like IIT/IISER/IIM students get joining bonus worth Lakhs of rupees at time of joining corporate companies, similary Rs 10 Lakhs non -taxable joining bonus (for personal expenditure) should be given to all new faculty recruits/Doctors at IIT's/IISER's/AIIMS. This amount should be paid over 3 years in 3 installments and if some one leaves before 3 years then pro-rated amount should be deducted. High salaries for Doctors and Ph.D is a must nowadays.

If research needs to be done on cutting technologies, access to purchase of rare smart materials should be possible through single channel for educational and research institutes at competative prices. Can this be acheived through tie-ups with educational and research facilities of developed countries?

More funds are must for research in higher educational institutions. More freedom for varied research and transparency is required in government jobs so that we can attract talent towards research. INSPIRE is a very good step towards this. But still lack of funds and jobs works against research. If a person spends 3-5 year time in research, he must get something good out of it as people in private organisations get four times pay after such period.

1. It is essential to create and document evidences on different teaching learning methods in education. The current method is the only evaluating the ability of the individual to reproduce the content. 2. The academic research is conducted only to complete the requirement of educational needs , it has no say on the practice or policies.

Research and Innovation are very important for our country to make progress and compete with other nations. It is highly imperative that our Universities collaborate with the industry and be part of the innovation efforts that are being driven. Being part of the high-tech industry and also coming from the Human Resource background, I visited several colleges and universities only to see the lack of exposure and facilities. I am more than willing to support the HRD ministry given an opportunity.
