private medical and dental colleges do not pay a penny as stipend to their post graduate students.........any research is impossible without air conditioned 24 hour labs, without unlimited access to top international journals, anti plagiarism software.....and ha ha ha what about gifts and personal services that pg/phd students are forced to provide to guides/professors.....state of research/publications from india will b a joke if these conditions r not corrected

universities be it govt/private charge fees from phd students....it is horrible that instead of being provided with practical amount(covering living, food, publication fees) as stipend every month so that student can solely focus on research....instead of providing cabin equipped with desktop ,printer and high speed net access including international journal and anti plagiarism software access .....students are forced to deposit fees and hell lot of other charges....no true research is possible

For promoting Research and Innovation, two basic ingredients: 1. Infrastructure for Research and Innovation. Specifically Laboratory infrastructure and hands on culture in Higher Education Institutions. 2. Skills required - especially teachers and people who operate and handle the labs. Personally helping college labs and hands0on, but face a stiff resistance from the staff who are made to believe "Only lecturing, exams part of the job. Doing doesn't matter"

invest money in training and reward excellence not hierarchy. Define innovation in Indian context. The best research comes from the countries that have the best training.

why innovation, new ideas are not welcomed in all spheres of public life, why only in technology? education in foreign language (english)has destroyed all innovative talent. Talented indians recognised by world, have done their schooling in indian languages, whereas those taught in english, end up as some executive in pvt company or govt employee. in govt machinery, top layers are invited to give their innovative ideas, others are discouraged/penalised, despite Modiji directions to the contrary.
