One more problem prevalent in India is that research is not appreciated. I have heard of several instances where people have to wait for years to get patents for their projects. And then the same people move to foreign countries where their efforts are appreciated. I propose that a Research and Development Committee be set up by the govt. to look in this matter. Let there be an online organization where people can put forth their innovative ideas.

Recently, I read that only 2% of IITians NITians work in ISRO. The main reason for this is - BRAIN DRAIN. The only possible way to stop this is by establishing more research institutions and promoting research activities in schools. In US, students start developing new devices right from a very young age and this holds them in good stead when they undertake advanced research. I would like to request the govt. to have research-oriented competitions in India as well.

If could not succeed then other courses or higher studies. After M.Sc. they join research as last alternative. A engineer of age 22 years (18 +4) get the good salary, but in R &D after M.Sc. and 23 age (18+3+2) no job and has to depend upon stipend or fellowship If we can generate confidence in younger that they will get job as good as engineers/doctors I hope we can get talent in R & D also (2/2)

I have retired from a prime research institute of India after a service of 34 years. I would like to share my views in this topic. As remember my school time, in 12th class different group of students were formed. 1.One group of students wanted to go for typing and shorthand to get service after 12th. . 2 One group of students wanted to go for IAS and PCS 3.One group of students wanted to for Engineering and Medical. 4. And one group those wanted to go for higher studies and research. 1/2

This has become the tendency of students from 9th class onwards , that everyone want to become either doctor, engineer , IAS or have to join MNCs for a high package. No one or very few is interested to make their career in Teaching / Research or as a scientist . After some time we will see a great shortage in this field. The MHRD should give more emphasis in making these jobs not only more lucrative , but also to develop good temperament towards science / research & Innovation.

Please encourage research on producing natural manures(like from cow dung, biodegradable natural plant wastes)mixed with artificial manures, fertilizers. The mix of two will be best depending on requirements. KISAN SOIL HEALTH card to be implemented by local students as projects is best idea. Innovation in agro-based products cultivation practices will create wonders. Promote use of Cows, cattle role in agriculture. If possible research on possible benefits. Many benefits are already known.
