Ministries (e.g. railways, earth science, water resources) should have their own research journal publishing house that promotes publication of Indian based research activities. For promotions every Professor should have few (say 3-4) articles published in these ministries sponsored journals. This way we can have lots of research work done on Indian system and compilation of it can guide future policies of India. For more information, contact : http://civil.iisc.ernet.in/~apandey/contact.php

For some reason study of science and math’s is losing popularity and new college entrants are opting for easier courses. It is essential that we establish science colleges (on the lines of Bangalore Science College) to encourage science education which will act as core of higher learning of Science and math’s, produce top class teachers for IIT's and engineering colleges and a laboratory for research and innovation. As a start, one such college should be established in each state by the Centre.

Industry Academia Linkages have to improve. UGC should allow Industry Veterans to hold senior teaching positions (without making PhD mandatory) in the Universities as full_time/part_time/guest faculty and get compensated for it. Companies should not restrict their employees from taking up paid part time teaching assignments. Universities should allow faculty to take up part time industry jobs.

Dear PM, Just sharing an idea which already exists but the applications that would need to be made functional and fully operational. Biogas has been used as a source of fuel in the rural areas as a cooking fuel for ages now. Can we think of mass producing the Biogas and use it as an alternate source of fuel in the transportaion sector? I.E., if we had Biogas instead of LPG/Petrol/Diesel as engine fuel this can reduce the transportation cost as it will be a cheaper alternative. Thanks.

Research contests by Government has to been conducted by government each year in different categories and different departments and evaluated in very genuine way(Please make sure the participants should not influenced by any body or any other mishapens should not occur in this contest). If this happens i am sure you will be surprised to see our countries talent . The specialty is that they reuse things and do innovations with very cost.Proud of those genius but feel very sad to see their failures
