Kindly take some policy which can improve the supervisor-researcher relationship, to make it more productive. Many Ph.D scholars are being used heavily for non-productive and personal works. As a result the outcome matter most to the researcher's career and supervisor's promotion but least to the society. Institute conducted selection process should be more transparent, unbiased and ethical.

I have written about my views on promoting research and innovation amongst the youngsters of India. I study in class 8 and live in a rural area. I am quite interested in research and innovation and want to invent something that will be beneficial for humans. But I do feel that I need a platform where I can hone my skills and invent something which India would be proud of. I would like to request the government to initiate programs where youngsters like me can showcase their talent.

I feel that the government needs to provide scholarships to promote research and innovation amongst the young scientists of India. This can be done by organizing science fairs which are funded by the government. In most of the developed countries this practice is followed to nurture the talents of young scientists. This will also give a big boost to the MAKE IN INDIA campaign as it will ensure that young scientists are groomed in the country. This will definitely help India to progress.

Part 1/4 : ENHANCE R & D ALLOCATION :- It’s said, among the many developing economies, India spends least on R & D. The mindset & approach should change and be it, student world or corporate world, public or private, we need to increase R & D budgets, lest our country, lag behind many others. Often it’s misconstrued as wasteful expenditure, which is not a right approach.

Part 2/4 : MORE R & D, BETTER R & D – I.E BETTER RESULTS & DIVIDENDS:- In fact, R &D in many fields can bring newer technologies, lesser cost, innovation etc.. which can ultimately benefit the society. Eg. By increased expenditure in R & D, one can help our farmers for better agricultural yield, LED manufacturers can try to reduce the cost LED lamps, which can help the poor, help many industries to dispose off the waste with min. Expenditure etc..

Part 3 / 4 : MAKE R & D SPENDING MANDATORY FOR ALL BIG FIRMS:- Every big Industry should therefore make it mandatory to spend a portion of their profits in R & D, a la CSR norms, and should help to bring down the cost of the products, improve the quality & try to introduce new & cost effective products in the markets

Part 4 / 4 : EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR THE R & D SPENDING TO MAKE IT MANDATORY :- Authorities can also think of possibility of any regulation for the above - which makes it compulsory and mandatory for all big organisations to spend a sizeable portion of their revenue towards R &D in their respective field.
