In all the schools teaching time should be from 9:00 am to 1.00 pm. From 2.00pm to 4.00pm children should be allowed to participate in the activities in which they are interested. Schools should be supported by good play grounds and basic Research and developments facilities.Children will feel relaxed due to the above timings. If we encourage students in the sports and research from their child hoods the next generation will provide us most innovative ideas, products

More importance on marks is given in most of the universities and IITs but real emphasis should be on skills. In IITs do away with 75% min attendance and use marks/grades system for motivation to study.Or do away with grades system and only attendance in class is used for evaluation this will make a liberal environment which will help research and innovation.

we should promote research at undergraduate level in form of student projects.which will encourage them to go in research at higher level.at universities as well as public libraries all students should get free access to journals in university library .we should promote research shich is useful for daily living rather than just publishing paper in journals.

Our higher education is not linked with real life problem & most importantly all research & innovation work need to be done to solve our real life problem... Secondly it is not linked to real life problem solving kinda project this makes unattractive to students.. Solution is we need to link it to industry.Government must give project to central funded institutelike for swine flu medicine (supply chain project),encourage the student by giving good scholarship especially on"time" no delays...

Dear Mr Modi, I am faculty in one of the technical institutions in this country. I have two suggestions for higher education.... 1. Encourage innovation in curriculum development at least for the centrally funded higher education institute. The traditional Gurukul method of education, where teacher is the only educator is slowly fading away because of the advent of information technology. Teachers should be advisor/mentor rather than just engaged in class room based teaching.

Scholarship for promoting higher educations - All our higher education scholarships (CSIR,DST,ICAR,DIT,AICTE,INSPIRE,DBT etc) are restricted by the AGE and CASTE. Most are restricted to the age of Max 30 to 32 for general candidates. - This HITLER rule really helps to prevent so many talented Indians to go for Higher education (I mean PhD is the 1st step to go formally research). - Scholarship criteria must be based on the examination not by the AGE.

After defence forces, most of our budget must be distributed to research in education(university). India lacks a lot of research and funding to university is very less. Try to become entrepreneur rather just take job in service based industry. One day we must outsources service in other countries like we currently doing for US, UK MNC's.
