ICT can potentially make significant difference in improving the quality of education. The National Policy of ICT in School Education envisions and provides for the development of a holistic framework of ICT support in the school system. While there have several ways in which ICT in schools are being implemented, we need to optimally use and leverage technology to achieve quality and efficiency in all of the interventions. Under this theme, we need to find solutions on how best technology can be leveraged for both school and adult education and share best practices, if any.

Dear Sir, Recently we celebrated National Film Awards. We also have kept Film festivals for children (but that are majority held in Urban Areas). Can we not reach good films out of these films and conduct a film festival in every town, zilla and panchayat schools by providing them with a CD or DVD which can be played in their schools for some 4 to 5 days for 1.5 hours daily??? Organisations are willing to provide & donate the required Hardware.

ICT in education has often been seen as a information-delivery mechanism. Learners are seen as consumers of information delivered through devices such as tablets, smart-boards, etc. While these are valuable, in some ways, we are trying to re-create what is already available through books, televisions, etc. ICT can be even more powerful if we see it as a medium for creativity and simulation. I've explained the in the attached PDF with examples how this can be implemented on the ground.

Please watch Parakh Education Portal( www.parakh.me ) Mobile App demo, which deals with student health, academic portfolio and analytics. Why I am sharing this ? This is purely a non profit voluntary effort to contribute back to the society a part of our success. If this is shared across the schools/teachers, we are hoping that this will play important role in day to day life of teachers/students and motivate many others to initiate voluntary efforts and give back to the society.
