A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

The children post 1995-2000, are not a polyglot like the previous generation. Most of the education happens in English, where as previous generation had education in local language. India should not lose it's diversity. For example, the new generation does not how to write in Tulu, which is one of the oldest languages of India, older than Tamil. Same thing with languages which have been over shadowed by Hindi in Northern India. So region based language writing courses should be introduced.

the three language system that prevails in India is good first language have to be mother tongue for better understanding, second international language to enhance career potential and a regional language for easier communication. Chinese and Japanese people do not speak any language other than their mother tongue, according to them their culture is self sufficient this is possible as the language is uniform throughout the nation.India is multilingual hence we must promote hindi and urdu to unite

One common language across India as the first language and then third language can be according to the state. Control on sanctioning the school registrations. common board exam throughout. There should value with the education. More focus on vocational training courses and more strenghting on Indian core culture.

@pankaj kumar This is a very difficult question to answer. First of all I want to blame our education system that cannot provide same education for poor that rich can afford. Regarding your problem, how can you expect to study 11th without knowing 10th subjects. If you want to do further studies, you should first learn the previous subjects and there are many other domains with which you can earn and also along side you can learn.

@Seshashayi K I didn't completely understood what you really want to say. "If there is a rule that all persons ,who seek employment and propose to stay for than five years in a state should learn local language" Is this a joke. Do you think we can learn language just like that. I have seen English Medium students after completing the education for 10 years are unable to speak English comfortably and you expect, instead of paying attention in his work, he should learn the local language
