95% of Indian schools and universities are not recognized in foreign countries. Although I have MBA degree, I am considered a High School graduate in America. This is raising a big question on the quality of education of India.

First of all the campus environment has to be made positive. Those who are studying in college/university will agree with me that 'not studying' has become a cool thing and naturally bad habits are creeping in. Then again I am from West Bengal and some recent activities have reveled that politics should not be mixed with education. But that doesn't mean that students can't protest and express their views.

In our country, there is no linkage in the research taking place in university/department and the industry, due to which, there is very little scope for self learning. Most of the post graduate and doctoral thesis are lying as such either in the department or central library. There should be some criteria to include and rank this amount of work in the accreditation process. There are lot of private institutions which are accrediatated, but still there is no process of getting grants from the gov

In our country, Universities show seasonal improvement to gain better ranking from NAAC. Our universities have less resources, less interest, less willpower and bigger political interference. To be among the best in the world, we need better resources. Good teachers, better infrastructure and no political interference in education are much needed thing. Some important necessities are:- Regular classes Courses on time Practical education in every field Helping research works

Assessment of Colleges be replaced by assessment of Departments in a college. that will make things much simpler and teachers can be made more accountable.

Assessment should be done but Peer team should not visit on the planed visit. It should be a surprise visit or even without the knowledge of the college. The expenditure should be paid to peer team members by NAAC and they should not accept the hospitability of the concered institution. NAAC SSR should be fed into a centralised data bank and peer team should give its reports as to the authenticity of the of the claim. Then ranking should be done by a software and not the NAAC Peer Team.

It is all in the name of NAAC accreditations, teams of inspectors are lodged in best of hotels, offered choicest of gifts in cash and kind, whereby eliminating the chances of sincere and deserving institutions,in this mad race. Students suffer, teachers suffer because of this disparity thus imposed on colleges in remote areas. Where is the transparency and accountability most necessary for a fair play?

Assessment for accreditation should be mandatory. But the process of assessment should be objective and for that Peer Team requires more training so that their assessing roles get streamlined to certain degree of uniformity. Further appropriate software can be developed for use by the Peer Team assessors

Please abolish this grading system it nevertheless decrease efficiency among students as almost students above 90 are catogorily assumed same as for below percentage also there are different university are following very poor courses even when the courses are good then paper patern are so easy that student jus dnt stdy n dnt make such scene that each student nees to b passed so they will be passed by school and make 8 class also board so that student mental n skill should be tested.

Accreditation of courses mainly general courses like B.A., B.Sc, B.Com should be done as per with international standards so that students can get opportunities to equivalent their degree throughout the world. Undergraduate courses should be of four years of time as it is in European union's education policy (Bologna treaty) and of USA standard. Credit based choice system should be introduced by all university, so that students can choose different subjects to study from different universities.
