With globalization and liberalization of Indian Economy in last two decades, numerous domestic and international companies have been drawn to investing in new modes of business/ business models targeted at the huge domestic market especially in the consumer goods & services. Direct Selling is one of these modes where goods /services are sold directly by the producer/service provider to the consumers. For this different models such as Multi Level/Network marketing, Door to Door Selling, Online Selling, Tele-shopping are being used. These practices are new and different from traditional retail through shops. In the absence of a proper regulatory framework, retail through these models leads to consumer grievances, trader’s issues, slow growth of the sector etc.

The aim of this discussion is to deliberate and evolve views of all stakeholders for providing a regulatory framework to the sector.

Now a days, realty regulatory bill is in discussion in media. Here one of my suggestion would be that wherever corporates defaults like delay in completion of projects, it should be automatically binding to builders / corporates to inform the situation to the regulator along with reasons, list of customers affected, next plan of actions instead of customers approaching some regulator or legal authorities. Regulator should act itself to resolve these scenarios. It could be extended to other areas

GST should be placed on product sales otherwise you will keep losing service tax and education tax on good which is already a big loss for govt treasury.more by the applying GST taxing system would further make govt more efficient in taking proper decision and curb corruption which happens in million by hiding inventories.govt is losing on everything and in coming times you might end up with huge treasury loses just because you are not able to curb wastage.adopt e-w-n-s policy

Some time in direct selling the person who delivered goods at home take the advantage if he find attainder alone at home..cases of robbery/ cheating are happen..this will be taken care another bad part of this is that sometime these carry boys are pushed to carry loads of weight on their bike causing life risk/ some cases of low back, spine problems comes in Delhi hospitals as they have to carry very huge amounts of goods which pressurised their back causing severe pain.

If the govt doesn't know that builders are looting common man, then even a baby cant be innocent than the govt!! Ask builders to put the price of property also online, why cant they do it? it will bring transparency. Get every payment via onilne method, and anyone can book the flats online. this will stop the non-sense of illegal structures (66,000 structures are illegal in Pune alone, can you believe? !!!!!!)
