When I started my career as Electrical Engineer in 1981, the 750 KW generator of that time used to be so big that it had to be installed in separate big building. It used to require so many accessories to start and run those generators. When generators were running, whole earth used to vibrate and it was difficult to go anywhere near the generators.
In comparison, generators of much bigger in capacities and much lesser in sizes can be found in basements of high rise buildings running without much noise and with much lesser vibrations.
Definitely, there is awareness getting created to make the products compacts so that it utilises resources optimally to make it more environmental friendly.

At first place, there shall be emphasis to design and manufacture the products with 3R that is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle objectives.
1 Reduce the material use. The product shall be designed and manufactured that it is compact and materials are used optimally.
2 The product shall be repairable so that it can be reused. Use and throw products shall be discouraged to be sold in market.
3 The raw materials going in to manufacture shall be easily retrieveable and non polluting to the environment to the extent possible.

What is a sustainable product?
1 Non polluting materials shall be used to the most possible extent.
2 Materials used shall be easily retrieveable and recyclable.
3 It shall be designed and manufactured as compact as possible so that lesser quantity of raw material goes into its manufacturing.
4 It shall consume lesser power.
5 It shall not produce harmful radiations, polluting gases or any substance which is detrimental to environment.
6 The product shall be reliable and long lasting so that it is able to be used longer.
7 There shall be lesser chances for discarding the troubling product before expected end of life cycle.
8 At the end of life of the product, there are adequate arrangements made by manufacturer to get it recollected.
Electrical and Electronic Equipment are being manufactured with these attributes now a days.
Products are getting smaller and smaller and they are more energy efficient today. Batteries are mostly rechargeable and can store charge longer.

t is illegal to put electronic equipment in the trash. Many electronic devices contain toxic chemicals that can leak from the landfill and contaminate groundwater and soil. Electronics can be recycled at your local household hazardous waste drop-off facility for free, or at participating stores. Electronics will work on low voltage power supply. Electronic is a branch of science which deals with the flow of current and control the flow.

This business idea requires the entrepreneur to be well versed academically in the field of environmental studies. There are a lot of individuals and organizations that are willing to seek the services of a consultant to learn the various ways to improve the environment and how to maintain it. The entrepreneur can seek a fee per consultation done while at the same time aiding in promoting the health of the environment as well as make decent money. A willing entrepreneur in this area does not need a high startup for capital. Instead, they should seek to find people with books they do not need and then find the market for people who need them. The constant disposal of books is bad for the environment not only because it pollutes the land but also because there is a lot of energy used to produce, design, and publish the books. The entrepreneur can also get innovative and use the internet for marketing books . Thank You !

1-Give incentives to E-waste management companies so bring big corporations in the equations. 2-setup district level e-waste collection kiosks. 3- Incentivise the waste collection with coupons from city management which can be redeemed for reduction of taxes such as water or property tax. 4-Make a storage unit for rare earth metals collected from e-waste.5-People don’t want to loiter e waste but they don’t know what to do with it. So make an additional compartment for dustbins at selected places in every city.6-Make similar arrangements at village panchayat.7-We can make some arrangements like if someone gives old mobile for recycling then give them small electronic gadgets like pen drive or earphones for encouragement.8- In place of gadgets we can also offer plants or flower pots as goodwill gesture.
