Share innovative ideas on sustainable EEE Products

Electrical and Electronic Equipment ( EEE ) and materials are one of the biggest challenges to sustainability. EEE are responsible for highly complex waste generation, energy-intensive manufacturing, usage and waste processing.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their ideas on how EEE products and materials can be made more sustainable.

We value your suggestions which would be instrumental in encouraging efforts towards sustainable practices in Electrical and Electronic products and spreading the awareness about same.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

To deal with EEE wastage we have to distinguish between electrical and electronics wastage bcz electrical equipments work on high voltage where as electronics work on low voltage.uasually electrical wastage would be burnt winding and cables.most of the wastage consist of metals like copper and aluminium alloys which can be recycled and reused.dielectrical material can be taken to build roads and other purposes.electeonics wastage consists chips and battery. this waste should be dissembled and chemical composition should be processed properly before dumping into soil.it would be better if we find alternate for the lithium batteries.

Collect the segment wise durability of all the electric/electronic components/products in India. Once the government has data in hand, can publish in local domain. This data would be informative for Citizens before buying particular product. Citizens can buy most durable products once they know which company provides it.

Government should work in its collection centres . In every cities and villages collection center should be made so that every people can dispose their e waste to the collection point. Apart from this government should also do collection by installing camp or door to door campaign. Its very important as e waste garbage is growing as a concerning issue.
