The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

I had attended five times at CBI Court, Karkardooma in connection with my service as a witness. What I had seen that there are discussions which are irrelevant and even noticed that there is no fix time of attendance and even adjournment with a plea from advocates of both sides. Reason of adjournment would be recorded in court proceedings. This is one of the main reason of piling of cases in lower courts. Supporting staffs can be reduced as most of them does not have work all the time.

Respected Sir/Madam, By this Live concept Most of people know the unknown facts and government law and rules and regulations how to communicate with a lawyer & Judge and also how to express a problem or situation to other third person properly they can easily gain knowledge and one can go to court to get right justice without fear, Like parliamentary sessions are live today people has get plenty of knowledge how the central government works like that one can gain knowledge relative issues also

Live streaming and video recording rules needs require a pro transparent initiative with protection of stakeholders rights.

The courts have been a very big challenge for all citizens across the Nation . We must ensure that each trial is conducted in a free and honest way which should also be streamed live . This will help us to regain the lost confidence in our judicial system

Benefit 1) Aspiring lawyers and judges can use this as learning materials 2) Historical evidence, help writting history as it is. 3) Public can give feedback in live courts and someone can readout and raise some valid questions in real-time to court, which may create crowd sourced concept to run court trails! 4) Participants may feel more responsible to society in thier behaviour ( however, it did not happen in case of parliament!) 5) Automation and analytics

Let me add negative details first 1) Added burden on lawyers and justice to face public at large, this gives sence of awareness about being streamed, and might not get as natural as today. 2) Courts will also turn into entertainment hubs,eg. after we added parliament live streaming, political parties took it as medium to gain TRP or political credit by disrupting or creating chaos. 3) Potential danger of disclosing details, which must remain in closed doors of courts. E g PII or PCI data

Please create a separate portal for proceeding. Store data encrypted and secured within our country only. Don't stream on any social media or YouTube like platforms.
