The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

I am a very typical happy go lucky kind of person. As per me, idea of basic necessity is to live a peaceful and joyful life. What does a common man gain by looking into these Live streaming? Instead, the whole new generation will be open to learn manipulation. Isn't enough manipulation going on..? Think about the Percentage of population that is really going to benefit. Already India is a country with very peculiar work culture. According to me, this Live streaming will worsen the situation.

Dear Central Govt Vaccination team, Thanks for your commitment towards citizens. I would like to give a suggestion for covid vaccination drive which can deflect third wave from India. *Priority Cities* We should vaccinate populated/business/tourism Cities,UT of India first as most of interstate travel happens in these cities, people from different villages/areas come to these cities to earn livelihood and we have also seen last year when the pandemic came most of the people returned back

Streaming of Virtual Hearing live while has distinct advantages when it comes to Writ Petitions and PIL's and may not be advisable in respect of Original Side and Appellate Side and more particularly in respect of Commercial Courts matters as it involves issues of confidentiality and privacy of parties. It would be wiser to do away with excessive security in Courts as it impinges the very basic concept of access to justice.
