The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

What a nonsense it is... If you go for the live streaming of the Court procedures... what's the moral value of the Judiciary ? Live streaming of such things means just like an OPEN AIR COURT !

My opinion it should not be available to all . It is a matter of prestige for all. Anything made public before judgement, will create more rumours and good person also goes through trauma. Recordings to be used only for further investigation. Before making available to public, court should grant permission to media or anyone else who needs it.

it is good to have recording in courts...because many victim will be safe from the wrong decision of lawyer and judges... they are sometimes taking wrong decision which helps to save crimal and loyal person are caught into prison.....so first and foremost we have to remove the partiality which is created due to money....... Equal respect to everyone and decision should always be in favour truth....
