The running cost of an electric vehicle is much lower than an equivalent petrol or diesel vehicle. Electric vehicles use electricity to charge their batteries instead of using fossil fuels like petrol or diesel. Electric vehicles are more efficient, and that combined with the electricity cost means that charging an electric vehicle is cheaper than filling petrol or diesel for your travel requirements. Using renewable energy sources can make the use of electric vehicles more eco-friendly. The electricity cost can be reduced further if charging is done with the help of renewable energy sources installed at home, such as solar panels.

Promoting electric vehicles (EVs) involves a multi-faceted approach that addresses various aspects such as awareness, infrastructure, incentives, and accessibility. Here are some initiatives to promote electric vehicles:
Public Awareness Campaigns:
We can launch educational campaigns to inform the public about the benefits of EVs, including reduced emissions, lower operating costs, and government incentives.
We can utilize various media channels, including social media, TV, radio, and print, to reach a wide audience.
Government Incentives: Advocate for and support government incentives such as tax credits, rebates, and subsidies for EV purchases.
Explore policies that provide additional incentives for low-income individuals to make EVs more accessible.
Charging Infrastructure Expansion: Invest in the expansion of charging infrastructure in urban areas, along highways, and in public spaces.
Incentives for Charging Station Installations.

As automobile industry is growing day by day it is not only creating pollution but also increasing the concentration per sq. meter bcz of which huge number of vehicles are running on very few area. Govt. must introduce Pooling system so that people can use one vehicle to travel it will decrease the traffic to some extent.
regular checks should be given to public vehicles as they are always overloaded in odd timing like during night and evil men take benefit of this by assaulting women and in case of accident one bus can make almost 70 to 80 deaths which is again a loss.
small suggestion from jammu as these problems are very common in jammu area.

Dear Sir, The world is facing the problem of environmental pollution. People are very much aware of their health and thinking about pollution free vehicles. But there is lack of awareness of EV and its utility. Govt should promote the awareness program for EV and its utility and cost of maintainance through the social media and print and electronic media regularly.
