The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

To learn more about the Shoonya Campaign and discover the benefits of EVs, please visit the Shoonya campaign website at www.shoonya.info

Sir, we r in democracy India but we remain in kings ruled India sometimes even worst than that. why? we r asking for zero emissions by using EV but burning coals, digging, uplifting & naked transporting coals by our govt transpoter Mr. Railway of India contributing very least to pollution as they r managed by UPSC selected executives of India. Same way our industries managed by CII , Ficci & Ascham & their MBA passed out executives. They r all nation builders but we r the citizen who vote for Govt creation r pollutants & encouraged to utilise EV to boost domestic Ev manufacturers which we would do also. But the responsibility & accountability of our idols r questionable as they consumed more of everything. A 72 seaters rail boggy is carrying 300 commuters is not a crime but a bike being seated by three persons is a great crime & heavily punished. who would punish our big fat institutions who do many wrongs to common man cum voters in whose blessings enjoying kingship in a our democracy

As a user one thing we should be aware is of quality at low price. EV just cant be promoted especially in a country like India if price is high and quality is low. First we need to make sure as a user he is getting good quality ev with adequate charging stations. Because as a user especially for many people like me I would rather buy a honda petrol that comes cheaper with good quality and not worrying about charging stations. But in order to change that we should focus on quality and say our EVS are better!

Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology represents a transformative concept in the field of energy management, intertwining the automotive and energy sectors in a novel and sustainable way. This idea hinges on the use of electric vehicles (EVs) not just as transportation means but also as mobile energy storage units that can interact with the power grid. The essence of V2G is the bidirectional flow of electricity: EVs can draw energy from the grid to charge their batteries and can also return electricity to the grid when needed. At the heart of this concept is the increasing penetration of renewable energy sources like solar and wind power into the energy mix. These sources, while sustainable, are intermittent in nature, leading to fluctuations in electricity supply. V2G can help mitigate this issue by providing a distributed storage solution. When there's excess renewable energy, it can be stored in EV batteries. Conversely, during peak demand or when renewable generation is low, this store

Aim of the Shoonya Campaign The Shoonya campaign aims to reduce air pollution in India by accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles for last-mile delivery. The campaign aims to: Create awareness and demand among consumers for zero pollution delivery. Recognize and support industry initiatives toward fleet electrification. Put the sector of last-mile deliveries on a path to complete electrification.t is an effort to assist zero-pollution delivery vehicles by collaborating with customers and businesses. The Shoonya campaign encourages the adoption of electric vehicles, bringing together industry and consumers to cut emissions from the urban freight sector. The initiative is an attempt to raise awareness about EVs among consumers and recognizes industry efforts through an integrated combination of corporate branding, impact assessment, and consumer awareness.

By 2050, it is anticipated that commercial passenger vehicle traffic would increase by 5 times. It will be expensive, unhealthful, and polluting to meet India’s expanding transportation needs using internal combustion engine automobiles. The zero-emission vehicle has the potential to satisfy this demand while reducing costs and improving air quality. Improvement in Air Quality: Electric Vehicles (EVs) emit zero particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions.Improvement in Public Health: By switching to electric fleets, harmful vehicle emissions like PM and NOx that cause respiratory problems and other diseases can be considerably reduced, and this will improve the status of public health in the longer run.Lower Running Costs: EVs has lower operating costs than comparable petrol or diesel car. charging an EV is less expensive than buying gas or diesel to meet your travel needs. Electricity costs can be further decreased if charging is done with the help of renewable energy
