*BENEFITS OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES:-
Transport is a fundamental requirement of modern life, but the traditional combustion engine is quickly becoming outdated. Petrol or diesel vehicles are highly polluting and are being quickly replaced by fully electric vehicles.
1). Lower running costs:-
The running cost of an electric vehicle is much lower than an equivalent petrol or diesel vehicle.
2). Low maintenance cost:-
Electric vehicles have very low maintenance costs because they don’t have as many moving parts as an internal combustion vehicle.
3). Zero Tailpipe Emissions:-
Driving an electric vehicle can help you reduce your carbon footprint because there will be zero tailpipe emissions.
4). Tax and financial benefits:-
Registration fees and road tax on purchasing electric vehicles are lesser than petrol or diesel vehicles.
5). Petrol and diesel use is destroying our planet.
6). Electric Vehicles are easy to drive and quiet.
7). Convenience of charging at home.
8).No noise pollution.

Cont'd-‐---article which states there are Lithium deposits within the country whether it's sufficient for the scale we require and costs involved. EVs are great it's a known factor as pollution is controlled at generation point with fossil fuels. Transmission losses have to be considered, infrastructure for charging on large scale is also an important issue.
The present cost of batteries makes it difficult to maintain the vehicles at premium prices. Also all homes have been connected with a certain Electrical loads charging at home requires safety and additional electrical loads.

Shoonya campaign is a great thing to happen for vehicles of all types. What is important is to develop sodium-ion batteries within country on war footing. Batteries have been there for a long time charging efficiency, weight, safety becomes critical. An aeroplane needs to carry fuel to be airborne which is maximum energy.Unlike ship which displaces weight of fuel with water & rolling tyres have to carry fuel weight. Any method to store energy for unit weight is the criteria.
A big prize money of 100 crores for the best successful & most economical model of batteries to be the aim. When shortest deadline was given for covid-19 vaccine things were done within the country. We have seen the way world market plays around crude oil prices to create havoc in economies. Lithium is another factor which will create similar roller coaster ride as we have to depend on external countries. I saw an article which states there are Lithium deposits within the country whether it's sufficient cont'd----
