Namchi has been selected among the 100 shortlisted cities to participate in the Smart City Challenge initiated by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. The UD&HD department, Government of Sikkim invites all the citizensand who all are interested in its development to share their ideas. Please join us in this journey to make Namchi a smart city by sharing you creative and valuable suggestions, ideas, solutions on various aspects for the development of Namchi. The various aspects for the discussion are as follows:

लोगों को यातायात नियमों को सही से पालन करना सीखा सकते है। चाहे वो पर्सनल वाहन चालक हो या पब्लिक वाहन चालक।

सुरक्षा: आज अगर आपकी कोई भी चीज चोरी हो जाए तो ये मान लिया जाता है की वो चीज अब नहीं मिलेगी। पोलिस एफ़आईआर बस फ़ार्मैलिटि मात्र है ताकि आपकी बीमा की राशि निकाल सके

, क्योंकि यह टाउन एंड कंट्री प्लानिंग से अप्रूव नहीं है। अरे भैया जी एक बात बताइये अगर कॉलोनी अवैध है तो यहाँ बसने वाले लोग कैसे वैध हुये और ये लोग निकाय चुनावों मे वोट कैसे डाल रहे है। और इन कॉलोनियों मे नगर निगम के सफाई कर्मचारी क्यों सफाई कर रहे है, या मकान टैक्स किस बात का लिया जा रहा है या अगर मकान टैक्स नहीं भी ले रहे है तो आपका ही नुकसान है आपकी रेविन्यू का नुकसान हो रहा है।

आज एक काम को करने के लिए आम जनता को इस टेबल से उस टेबल जाना पड़ता है क्या कोई ऐसी टेबल नहीं है जहां हम अपने सारे काम करा सकें। आज नगर निगम कहती है आपकी कॉलोनी अवैध है, आप यहा मकान का नक्शा पास नई करा सकते

For widening of road, lot of trees are cut. But they are not re-planted. Government and Local Authorities must be very strict in ensuring that for every tree that is cut, atleast 5-10 trees are planted. Our City is getting warmer and warmer day by day.
