A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products. More details can be found on www.cleanindiatech.com

My vision towards Smart city is, it should be in the form of environmental friendly plans. Like it should be “Getting the green environment, will smart technology clean up city environments”. This is big concept, therefore there is real potential for revolution in this area so it should be meet targets across a range of environmental challenges, including carbon emissions, air quality, recycling rates, and water management. Mainly focusing on solar plants. #SmartCity, #Mangaluru, #MyGov

The mangalore which u saw as a kid what i have heard from my parents my ancestors lived was also an agriculturally productive land. This land was self sufficient with food grains, poultry, fishes, milk and other local household industries like coconut plantations and related small scale bussiness like the jaggery making and dried fishes. Things were affordable and available. Smart city rather than building another concrete township shall strengthen and develop the existing lifeline of mangaluru.

Digital India Electricity bills, Water bills, etc. should be digital. Every account should be linked with mobile number and E-mail id so when bill is generated, message should be sent directly to consumer mobile number and E-mail id. We can save paper as well as manpower.

Suggestions for Mangaluru 1) Free public WiFi at important areas such as KSRTC bus stand, Statebank etc. 2) Have dustbins at every bus stop. Also, the dustbins have to be regularly emptied. Employ some people to do this properly. 3) Have footpaths on both sides of every road and drainage below the footpath for the rain water to flow. The drainage should be deep enough so that it doesnt overflow during heavy rains #SmartCity #Mangaluru

Building smart cities should help create an efficient transport management system, Various issues such as power, water distribution, waste disposal, drainage, healthcare and education that need to be worked upon extensively with the use of technology. Parking apps can show drivers where the nearest available parking is, which will save commuters time, gas, emissions and and money, while also easing the flow of traffic. Above all smart city requires smart governance.
