Bareilly city has been nominated by the Government of India as a contestant for 100 cities under the smart cities mission. The proposals submitted by the city for round-1 and round-2 of the competition could not be score winning grades. One of the factors was insufficient citizen engagement as compared to the winning proposals.

We are in process of preparing the proposal for round 3 of the competition where citizen consultation would play a vital role in improving upon the previous proposal. The citizens are hence urged to participate enthusiastically and provide valuable feedback after reading the previous proposal submitted by the city. A brief presentation explaining the features and initiatives from round-2 is attached for the convenience of the citizens. Let’s spread the word among your friends and families to achieve maximum participation and inclusive feedback which will help the team to prepare a winning proposal.

local government addresses complaints with mobile technology...by implementing a pilot program using GIS and GPS technologies that break the city into smaller zones and track all complaints within these zones.

I think trees are must for smart city I don't mean garden but a small forest with plenty of trees and a lake with rare fishes, where rabbits moving around with swans and duck it would be nice to see deer too like I saw in Kanpur zoo

Using latest communication technologies the quality of connectivity between individuals should be enhanced. Communication between the citizens and the government should be made easy. Ways must be made out to reduce costs and resources while providing a more eco-friendly environment.
