In an endeavour to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints and improve its modal share in total freight eco system of the country, Indian Railways has come up with Draft National Rail Plan.

A draft of long term strategic plan called the National Rail Plan has been developed to plan infrastructural capacity enhancement along with strategies to increase modal share of the Railways. The National Rail Plan will be a common platform for all future infrastructural, business and financial planning of the Railways. This plan is being circulated among various Ministries for their views now. Railways aim to finalise the Final plan by January 2021.

Hi sir/ madam In my idea total all route remove passengers trains to maintanace only demo trains and memo trains and improve train speed and decrease in travaling time.. Improve lady's coach's in all routs including mails services trains also...... Thank u sir

r ideas/innovative r only limited to make r life pleasure & comfort zone not serious think of nature & future health & nature r most important If we try to take help of technology eg - can't we connect trains or its tracks or the stop points to reconnect with chip or infotech for better at alternate days it should run or trial & error base in nearby areas. in short all trains will run by computer even will stop for business view in areas will be set everything by app control or transport try

R/Sir, While going through document, I felt that freight forecast is projected on higher side, & some figures are not matching with vision doc projections of concerned ministries. As per my assessment, even concerned ministries projections are also on higher side. Also impact of renewable energy needs to be taken in account for coal requirement in power plants. Few details are in doc for consideration.

Very important is.. cleanliness of toilet and wash basin and bathroom should be maintained well and please assign special forces for this taks.. please allocate fine for throwing garbage on platform and not maintain public hygiene .. and please try to build train driver less. and fully automatically programmed and self controlled. and please maintain plantation and environment surrounding station and railway tracks

Please plan to deliver LPG/petrol/diesel/CNG/PNG to all major and Tier 2 cities using Freight trains. Since the demand is consistent, it gives scope for optimal planning of freight trains usage.

Please ensure that water ATMs are functional 24/7 and are automated. They should accept card swipes / QR code payment. Sequence of steps should be clearly graphically depicted and it should not accept payment and display appropriate message if it is unable to dispense water. All railway stations in the country should have minimum 2 such fully functional ATMs and major stations should have 10 such ATMs at each platform to avoid crowding /anxiety caused by delay due to long queue

रेल सेे यात्रा सबसे सुरक्षित मानी जाती है रेल के द्वारा हम देश किसी भी कोने में यात्रा कर सकते हैं ऐसे में रेल में और सुधार होना चाहिये ये लाजमी है तो इसके बारे में अपने सुझाव भारत सरकार को देना चाहता हूँ कि आज भी भारत में गरीब और मध्यम वर्ग के लोगों का समूह पाया जाता है इसलिए उनके लिए ट्रेनों में जनरल डिब्बाऔर साथ कुछ स्लीपरों की संख्या भी बड़ायी जाये जिससे संविधान की वो बात लागू हो सके जिसमें कहा गया है समानता का अधिकार

Development of IOT and Bigdata Science should applied by Railway for better management of passenger service,proper findings and prediction of traffic load along with routes with better coordinated with timing and seasons will give a suitable solution to waiting problems. This will increase the profitability of the railway.

Optimal utilisation of Freight train rakes: Please follow a hub n spoke model in delivering goods to destination so that turn around time is improved due to shorter total journeys by each train. This would improve availability. Engines which reach the hub with 1 set of goods can be attached to a waiting rake at the hub to take back goods to its place of origin.
