Sir, Kindly see this interesting development on the possible use of BIO-METHANE as Train Fuel. They claim that it offers BOTH pollution reduction due to Biofuel and also reduction of release of dangerous Particles in the air due to Tyre Degradation or road abrasion. https://www.msn.com/en-in/autos/news/this-train-turns-methane-from-human-waste-into-electricity-as-eco-friendly-fuel/ar-BB1cspTU?ocid=msedgntp

The plan could focus on last-mile delivery of service to the remote villages with weekly trains.
Initially, they could be connected with the freight corridor to develop the primary sector of the villages.
Secondly, privatisation could be done in certain freight corridors for speedy services and also result in employment opportunities and roll-on and roll-off services can be added for tourist services.

Private companies run in profit, pay taxes but why most of the govt entities are dependent on govt for more funds? Make a corporate head of railways and see the magic but it won’t happen because the corrupt people will have to become accountable. Also, in some railway stations, even platform is not there. In some stations, track and platform must be here. There is no proper sanitization in trains as well as in stations. I would like to replace some diesel trains with electric trains.
