The Government of India is taking several measures for promoting the growth of the manufacturing sector in India. The Make In India campaign has been initiated with the view of driving investment in this sector by creating an environment suitable for sustained growth of manufacturing, which will lead to all-round economic benefits including employment generation and income growth. The Prime Minister’s Independence Day speech mentioning this can be seen here and his speech at the launch of the Make In India campaign can be seen here.

This requires a number of steps to be taken to ensure that investors are suitably incentivized for job-creation as well as participating in the skill upgradation of the labour force employed by them.

Suggestions received from various Ministries and other stakeholders during Government-level discussions in this regard can be seen here. These suggestions include financial incentives under the Income Tax Act, labour laws, tax incentives and subsidies for skilling of employees, upgrading and improving the employment exchanges, etc.

We invite comments regarding these ideas and suggestions regarding other incentives that can be provided by the government for employment generation in the manufacturing sector. Your suggestions may be provided in the comment box below or attached as a PDF. We request that the suggestions may be explained in sufficient detail with information about the implementation mechanism and the likely impact.

The last date for submission of the entries is 2nd December, 2015.

industry can't Run on rented premises ,so resume all plots from sick units or those who are not using alloted lands as per projects, with this no need to push land bills for reforms Just check it and find half of the land used in industrial areas is already wasted ....

7 percent growth rate, amounts to 70B$, AND government portion is fraction of that. 24 percent of it for Govt servants, plus OROP; AND nothing is left for general public. The taxes will surely go UP.

We have seen that with many campaign, government is trying to boost the manufacturing sector in our country, which is really good. Here we also see that during those campaign, many #MoU gets sign. What government should need to do, is time to time, via any form, need to audit those and provide that to general public. This may be quite hard task, but very much necessary to uplift our country to next level ! #IncentivesforEmploymentGeneration, #EmploymentGenerationinManufacturing, #DIPP, #MyGov

SHRI MODI SAAB,FIRST WE SHOULD REDUCE OUR POPULATION LEVEL To less than 1.2 Billion by IMMEDIATELY INTRODUCING 1-CHILD POLICY like in CHINA, OUR PREVIOUS GENERATIONS & POOR people have Mindlessly GAVE BIRTH TO PLENTY of BLOODY USELESS PEOPLE in our COUNTRY than GOOD People. This means all our development efforts are going VAIN without any USE of Foreign INVESTMENTS.VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM: THERE is NICE IDEA, ARREST whoever Wants SECOND CHILD.I MEAN JUST ONE MAN like CV RAMAN-NOBLE laureate is FINE.

SHRI MODI SAAB, Tax reforms are of immediate necessity. We need to decrease steep Taxes and Surcharge on incometax. Please exempt Interest from Income Tax on deposits made with Govt.BAnks, the investments flow. UPA Govt. levied taxes to reap more to eat more on scams. BJP shouldn't do like them. Tax less to increase honesty & let people invest their funds in India only.Lack of Tax free avenues is driving Indians to look at other illegal ways- country is suffering.Black money is created & exported.

respected sir , I am feeling very sad about Bihar verdict but I feel its learning lesson for all. my suggestion for environment is that that if you r making national highway above that road can we put solar panes so it can generate energy and put camera so it get picture and number of every vehicle for security purpose. This solar panels prevent road damage during rainy seasons and reduce road maintenance cost and able to supply electricity to near by village .it can be used in street light.
