Surat Municipal Corporation has prepared draft Smart City Proposal (SCP) as per the guideline of Smart City Mission given by MoUD, Govt. of India. Based on opinion/feedback received during Citizen’s Engagement Round - 1 and Round - 2, Smart City Proposal (Draft) for Surat city includes

1. PAN City proposal based on Smart Solutions for “Transportation-Mobility-Connectivity” in entire city area and;
2. Area based development: Smart solutions in various sectors as“Retrofitting” is selected for 112.28 sq.km.area of Surat city prior to city limit extension in year 2006.

first thank you for creating smart cities we wants clean cities, in city we wants wi fi, all industries moved outside the city and keep roads wide. animals are the main problem there are more animals are alive on roads. we supports your clean india mission therefor first task is to inspire people to keep cleaning.by putting many dustbins on road because people wants option for waste products thrown.

there should be more dustbins in every area and more buses should be also provided and better facilities should also be provided.

THERE SHOULD BE A PLACE WHERE ALL THE ANIMALS STARTING FROM CAT TO COWS WHICH ARE ROAMING IN STREETS AND SPREADING DIRT CAN LIVE. THERE SHOULD BE PLACE FOR A OWNER FOR THAT HE/SHE HAVE TO PAY LITTLE RENT.THUS MAKING THE LOCALITY CLEAN AND ACCIDENT FREE.MOREOVER, THIS WILL HELP OWNER BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO GIVE LITTLE RENT WITH LOT OF FACILITIES WHICH START FROM PROPER CLEANING OF THEIR ANIMAL TO THEIR TREATMENT AD THIS HELPS GOVERNMENT TOO BECAUSE IT MAKES LOCALITY CLEAN WHICH ATTRACTS TOURISTS.

THE URBAN AREAS SHOULD NOT BE URBANIZED BECAUSE VILLAGES MAKE A UNIQUE IDENTITY OF INDIA ALL OVER THE WORLD, SO THEY MUST BE PROVIDED ALL THE FACILITIES WITH TRADITIONAL WAYS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE IN CITIES.THIS WILL INCREASE TOURISM AND WILL RETAIN INDIA 'S UNIQUE IDENTITY ALL OVER THE WORLD.

THERE MUST BE DUSTBINS INSTALLED EVERY PLACE BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE WANTED TO THROW GARBAGE IN IT BUT DUE TO IT'S ABSENCE THEY DOES NOT DO IT. THERE SHOULD BE MORE AND MORE BUSES AND SMALL VEHICLES LIKE BIKES SHOULD BE REMOVED TO REDUCE POLLUTION AND TRAFFIC TOO AND THIS WILL TRAVELER BECAUSE FOR THAT THEY WILL BE PAYING LITTLE MONEY. DURING LOCAL ELECTIONS, THERE SHOULD NOT BE USE OF POSTURES, BANNERS,ETC BECAUSE THIS THIS MAKE WALLS WORSE.INSTEAD ADVERTISEMENT MUST BE DONE DIGITALLY.
