Plan it along with Young Architects, ask them to think of redoing everything, like electric cables, water pipes, gutter lines etc (eg, how about a foot path on all roads covered with slabs, under which all these pipes are layed. While crossing roads, use Iron rod grill on roads and pass pipes, gutter lines etc under it. that way, u never dig roads!! provision for trees, rain water harvesting etc and u will have a great city.

Allahabad hamare sanskriti ka ek uttam asthal hai...eska vikash bhi usi ko dhayan mai rakhakar karne k liye, sabse pahle waha k niwashiyo ko smart city ka MATLAB or JARURAT ko batana hoga...ooske baad waha k logo ka matt lene k baad hi vikash k kam ko gati de or jaha tak baat desi ko sahar se jorne ki hai oose samjhota na ho...dhanybad...

i have a suggestion not just for smart cities but for all the cities and towns. can we have some rule to make it compulsory for every construction to have a min no of trees planted. by using t&cp map or anything. fr ex petrol pumps, malls, individual houses. etc. I dnt knw there may be some law already for this but I have seen petrol pumps, malls, houses, complexes having almost no trees. its really horrible. TheEarthIsDying... pls do smthing on large scale.. Amit
