The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources. India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica. Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP. For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower. Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Mining is very risky job. It needs precision and good temperament. Our mining equipments are old and the technology is more bookish. SKILL CAN ONLY BE DEVELPOED THROUGH PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE,

I am 75,an engineer,retired from in 98 and then formed and managed two multinational companies for 10 yrs.Now managing our family companies.We read regarding unemployment but we are not able to get manpower unskilled.semiskilled or skilled.Educational institutions have become shops. I can help colleges & schools explaining how to fill in the gap.

i think before we are starting the swach bharat abhiyan we must arrange lots of dust bean on distance 200mtr with the help of people noticed that we have facility for dust bean and also urinal across india

Major problem of handicap 1. Every Railway station and bus station should be o wheelchair for handicap which they can come and go outside and inside of station 2. Every station should be lift facility which they can reach easily railway station 3. every Govt and engineer collage should be roadmap and lift which they can easily reach in classroom because i have done B.Tech in HBTI kanour in this collage i suffered a lot to reach class room and classes is second floor and third floor every day
