The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

We need to have certifications for the identified skills-eg. there’s no easy & standard way to drive an ubiquitous JCB machine. General classes of machines can be identified and certified individuals only should be employed. Such trainings can be imparted by pvt agencies accredited to international/national guilds. International acceptance of such certification would be an added attraction for undertaking such certification.

Sir, I have read an article about Arthakranti Sansthan's proposal submitted to you about Banking Transactions Tax and abolising all other taxes and currencies of high value and root all transactions through bank system only with a minimum tax rate of 1% to 2% on the transaction, by the way black money generations can be avoided and govt can get good revenue also. The revenue department people can be utilised for other jobs.
