The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

In mining the worker with basic skill and safety knowledge may be used. This can be monitored.apart from this govt need to open some training institute for mining at worker level. Local tribes must be given prferances.

SIR I do not possess any ONGC share and Bonus was last declared during 2011 and if declared before disinvestment, Government of India may get additional income of over Rs.4000 Crores. ONGC CMD and Board never think how to get best to Govt. and people. They spend in AC rooms and enjoy all possible facilities.

Modiji, the One rank one pension scheme is delayed because of the bereaucrat's routine official procedure. However, the same was approved during VP Singh period some 20 years back. If you give personal attention, the scheme will have some speed..

Mine workers shall be provided proper on job training including class room training ie. 20%. It includes Safety, Environment requirement, operation of Equipment/Machinery, Job efforts Vs Output, Company/Mine operator targets and their contribution etc. Their incentives shall be linked with progress as per laid down procedure apart from their salary. Let our Government start afresh to get best output without clubbing with education. Regards.

In mining sector generally workers work on daily contract basis also no one take responsibility of their sefty. I am curious if somehow permanent employment started and also health related policies provided through government, it will make life of those hardworking people full of reliefs. Also I am curious if government starts a field level full professional training and employment for mine workers in less fees that would be very helpful.
