The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

We already has a lot of regulatory mechanisms in India especially for the mining sector - what is required is to do away with most of them except the safety and environmental ones. One of the areas which would help in developing requisite skills trait in mining sector is to audit it for the number of skilled worker(s) it has recruited from the local technical institutes (ITIs/Engg Schools etc) and how it has been supporting the local institutions

I had been to BILBAO, SPAIN. The river which was passing through the city 15 years back was much worse than Ganga in Varanasi. The Mayor explained how they have been able to clean the river- first send all the industries outside the city, identify all the polluting points and plug it. It was a massive movement involving citizens. The corporation was made a independant body free from the Government hurdles. It is worth condisering the story of BILBAO for Varanasi.

Mining is a risky job and the workers who enter the mines need to be covered adequately. Any worker should be allowed inside a mine only when the evacuation and emergency services have been cross verified. In a group of say four workers one should be concerned only about safety and safe evacuation. In the sad situation of any calamity medical help should be immediate and all medical expenses should be fully borne by employer. The compensation should be adequate so that the family does not suffer

Maananeeya Pradhan Mantri ji, yeh sabhi ko vidit hai ki nashe ki pudiya yuva ke haath me padne ke peeche prashaasan ke mahatvapoorna angon ki milibhagat aur udaaseenta dono hi uttardaayi hain. hamne lucknow shahar me nashaapeedit logon ke saath kaam kiya aur us dauraan ye spasht hua ki nashaapeedit isase mukti chaahta hai kintu iske liye sambandhit vibhaag is mudde par kaam hi nahin kar rahe. chand poster chhapwa dena, hoarding laga dena, isase kuch nahin praapt hoga. sabse pehle iski suply kaatni hogi, phir peediton ke ilaaj aur mukhya dhaara se vaapas jodne ke liye saamoohik prayas karne honge. Poorvi dilli ke seemapuri illake me chooran ki tarah bikta hai nasha. bechne vala khule aam chunauti deta hai ki sambandhit thaane me itna laakh rupaya pahunchaya jaata hai isliye uska koi kuchh bigaad nahin sakta...aise haalaat me log shaktiviheen ho jaate hain...jab tak in binduon par kaaryavaahi nahin ki jaayegi..ye mahaamaari ki tarah phaelega. Hum sabko aapki shakti va saamarthya par atoot vishwas hai...aap desh me ye kraanti laa sakte hain..hum sab aapke saath hain..aadesh kariye. aashaaon ke saath Dhanyavaad!

sir government should limit wine shops to 1 per 100 km i know it will affect revenue but some times for fair reason we have to make compromises with revenue and you should fix the quantity of liquor which is to be supplied to wine shops. I know this is not a very convincing way but it will definitely work.

A lot of Men and Women labourers are working on daily wages in our country. I think their daily wage ranges between Rs. 150/- to Rs. 300/- per day. These labourers have a lot of stamina and dedication which can be beneficial to prepare them for mining sector skilled workforce. If your government can give them skilled training to make them efficient mining labourers, As we all know, there is no formal training to do the work of labourer in building construction works, even then they do it well.
