The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

First of all we have to explore the best model of mining construction with thorough analysis including job creation aspect, financial implication, environmental etc...for skill development we need to impart proper knowledge to those people first who are the policy makers or implementers, then only we can sort it out this issue.

Am presenting my view on Job creation, first of all major job creates with manufacturing, IT & Construction...in present scenario from our honourable PM has started the imitative like make in india...but in spite of that our current manufacturing industry is already handicapped like they dont have sufficient technology to imnplement, ides or the major is not following safety norms coz of that only we use to hear on daily basis that some industry of factory lost due to fire incident.

We have seen lowering of Petrol/diesel prices, courtesy the decrease in international crude prices. The prices can further be cut down if we go for an austerity drive in the oil companies, including better and effective use of manpower.
