we need to think about using natural lighting and ventilation to the maximum extent. The geographical location of our country is one of the positive aspect in this matter. We get abundant sun light and zephyr, if we plan and construct our buildings by following "Green Building Principles", we can save huge amount of energy in the future. All the citizens required to think in this direction.

My Suggestion on the power saving- All the society in the city waste the most electricity in the night. All the boundary wall, passages staircase lights are on whole the night. I think here we can enforce all the society in the city's to opt for the solar power. Electricity can be save tremendously.

There is competition between USA and China for innovation in 3rd generation solar cells and patent rights as they are highly efficient than current PV solar cells that we plan to use. PMO should announce Rs 25 lakh prize money to young brilliant students of IIT and other engineering students who, with basic research, can come up as early as possible with a feasible technology better than 3rd gen / amorphous silicon. So we have a headstart and we have our own patents, which can be used in India.

There is competition between USA and China for innovation in 3rd generation solar cells and patent rights as they are highly efficient than current PV solar cells. We still use 2ndgen. PMO should announce Rs 10 lakh prize money to young brilliant students of IIT and other engineering students who, with basic research, can come up as early as possible with a feasible technology better than 3rd gen / amorphous silicon. So we have a headstart and we have our own patents, which can be used in India.

In our country Sun is there for more than 9 months which is the bless given to us. We should try to use Sun energy or store them in the form of electricity. Summer power shortage can be killed by using Sun energy to produce electricity. This aspect can be solved by educating people with Solar cells and giving small options of producing electricity which meets their requirement for day time. Also it will reduce the burden on hydro and thermal power generation.

I am a student and i wake up early in the morning to reach school by bus. What i always see is that there's no single house or shop that have their main lights switched off even in the morning, maybe because they are asleep or that they forgot. Just think how much can we save on electricity if our brilliant scientists develop such tube lights that have a timer set in them. We have progressed a lot but isn't it good to concentrate on such a small thing which can save us a lot.

About a billion people live without electricity, and they often turn to kerosene lamps: ultra dangerous, carcinogen-spouting, open flames that could turn homes into tinderboxes. So a new Indiegogo campaign’s out to provide safe, reusable lights that need zero outside energy sources. It’s called Gravity Light, and it’s kind of like those hand crank-powered camp lanterns you see at Bed Bath & Beyond, but instead of 10 minutes of manual cranking, the light is powered by gravity.

INSTEAD OF WORKING TO SAVE ELECTRICITY, WORK TO GENERATE MORE NUCLEAR POWER FROM INDIGENOUSLY MADE NUCLEAR REACTORS(SAY NO TO IMPORTED REACTORS FOR CHEAP ELECTRICITY GENERATION),GENERATE MORE HYDEL POWER WHICH IS POSSIBLE.RELY LESS ON POLLUTION CAUSING THERMAL POWER.CONVERT THERMAL POWER STATIONS INTO INDIGENOUSLY MADE NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS.GENERATE MORE AND MORE CHEAP ELECTRICITY(COSTING 15 PAISE/KWH (UNIT COST)
