Sir, Please select 4 national daily newspapers. Ask them to print dirty or uncleaned areas in their jurisdiction. Like for example select Time of India for West India then Times will print on front page every monday morning uncleaned areas in Mumbai, and challenge that area to keep their premises clean. Like wise if every national daily does this for 365 days then our Swaach bharat Aabhiyan shall be surely successful.

When I was setting up a new venture in India from Sydney, I faced the problem of not knowing the creditworthiness of my buyers. It would help having a central authority that could provide an organisation or an individual’s score based on their ability to repay. This will also work better in case of businesses/individuals trying to sell from India into international markets. Opportunities to generate revenue are more welcoming than ideas to curb expenditure. Let’s bury the poverty line.

... continued It is difficult and inefficient to develop a large road network without active participation of public, private sector, multinationals, investors, etc., That said, if stringent requirements are not set based on latest research and strictly enforced, India will loose an once in life time opportunity of getting it right!!. Hence collaboration with reputable non-profit international research organisations in US, UK, Europe(mainland), Australia etc would be of immense benefit.

Development of Road Network is quite high on the agenda. Could one of the delegates meet with non-profit research organisations such as the Australian Road Research Board, and establish a collborative arrangement in developing standardised specifications and design criteria for the pavement design of Indian Freeways/Motorways. The criteria must be detailed enough to ensure maximum performance, life and best use of local resources specific to each region. Road development is a one off opportunity
