I agree with Satish Modh. Performance can not be managed if not measured. For this relevant performance indicators are required to be identified/developed, based on which which type of data required to be collected are integrated into the information system. All organizations have millions of data which are not-relevant and can not provide the required information for monitoring, control and appropriate decision making. The government should focus on performance and better informed decisions and accountability. Performance information is needed for informed reviews of existing programs and decisions on the reallocation of resources.
