रेल अधिनियम की धारा 161 के अनुसार “यदि किसी वाहन को चलाने वाला व्यतक्ति किसी क्रासिंग को लापरवाही से पार करता हुआ पाया गया तो उसे दण्डस्वरूप एक वर्ष तक का कारावास हो सकता है।”

मोटर वाहन अधिनियम की धारा 131 के अनुसार “प्रत्येक मोटर चालक किसी मानवरहित रेलवे क्रासिंग पर पहुंचने पर वाहन को रोकेगा और वहां उपस्थित कंडक्टवर, क्ली नर, सहायक या किसी अन्या व्य्क्ति के द्वारा यह सुनिश्चित करेगा कि किसी भी दिशा से कोई गाड़ी या ट्राली तो नहीं आ रहीं है, और सुनिश्चित हो जाने के बाद ही वाहन को क्रासिंग से पार ले जाएगा तथा ऐसी स्थिति में जहां कंडक्टेर, क्लीकनर, सहायक या कोई अन्य व्यकक्ति उपलब्धक नहीं हो वहां चालक स्वयं उतर कर यह सुनिश्चित करेगा कि किसी भी दिशा से कोई गाड़ी या ट्राली नहीं आ रही हो।”
आवागमन के लिए सड़क का प्रयोग करने वाले लोग क्योंकि नियमों का पालन नहीं करते हैं जिसके परिणामस्वकरूप अधिक दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं और इन दुर्घटनाओं में अनेक लोगों के अनमोल जीवन की हानि हो रही है।

मानवरहित क्रासिंग पर दुर्घटनाओं को कम करने के लिए अपने सुझाव साझा करें।

Sir, I suggest that at the unmanned crossings level of railways Notice Board should be diplayed that neglient crossing is punishable under section 161 and section 131 of Railway act and people should also follow the instructions. Also before unmanned crossings Noice Board should be displayed that you are approaching Unmanned Crossing and follow the Railway act section 161 and section 131 This is in your interest.

Recently when I raised issue of lack of infrastructure in accessing Yashwanthpur terminal railway station of South Western Railway I receives reply: "The problems raised by u are genuine... But the taxes u pay are not a part of railways kitty.. the state government which gets the part of the taxes u pay is to provide this additional facilities.. Railways can only provide facilities within railway premises.."

1.Accident happens as vehicle mainly stops momentarily at LC while train approaches.The best way is to provide underpass or overpass strucures.This will totally detach track from the road.Even people cross under a stagnant train in stations with their vehicles.Eliminate all the possible options. 2.Low voltage electric fences should cross both sides of LC for a particular length such that vehicle or person in contact with it gets shock and vehicle is paralyzed till the train crosses.

Add big hooter and Big and bright LED light of red colure display at unmanned crossing. They will start hooting and light flash one or two before train crossing. And intensity will increase as train coming near to crossing. This will have both audio and visual effect and any person can catch it.

If the whole system runs underground the level crossing gates over bridges, under bridges, track fences security arrangement will all be eliminated. The expenditure made on all above things in construction and maintenance can be diverted to tunnel constructions. Freight trains can be easily run underground. This will also have very low environment effect. under ground staff can be chosen from existing mine workers who are used to work underground.
