10) Educate the children on the options in civil service, army, and any industry. Give them mock assignments in school in the industry of their choice, for them to decide on their compatibility. 11) For any society to improve there has to be equal importance to humanities, arts and science. We have a focus towards only engineering now.

8) Make the students equal stake holders. Do not force language policies top-down, like the sudden removal of German as a language. If you want to promote any language, offer it as a choice, not as the only choice. We are still a democracry, allow students the freedom to choose. 9) Grade the students. I find the idea of removing examinations a utopic dream. Everyone is judged and valuated all through their life. You cannot shield the kids from life.

There is a saying in tamil, "Ettu surakai kari ku uthavathu," meaning, that only textual knowledge will not help in the practical world. 5)Right now our education system is focussed towards IT. We should branch out to other subjects. 6) Research papers should be given priority. Students should be encouraged to post papers starting from school. 7) Pay teachers more. Right now the teaching profession is like the last stop for some people. There are great teachers who are paid pittance.

Instead of hiding our inability to improve our linguistic skills behind jingoism, we should challenge ourselves. If India is to be the service and manufacturing headquarters for the world, we need to be able to speak to people in their language, rather than forcing them to speak ours. 4) There should be one vocational subject in which the student has to graduate in either 10th or 12th, in addition to the standard subjects.

1) We need to focus on using the existing methodology and not import methods from overseas. 2) The standard of study material and challenges differs from CBSE to state board and other modes. This should be made uniform 3) Every child should learn their mother tongue, the language of the state they are in, and one optional language - either indian or international, in addition to English.

The New policy can best reduce pressure on students due to exams and the education should be of the best possible quality accessible to all. These days due to low standards of textbooks and school curriculum which is forcing students to take up private coaching for competitive exams for future career which drains a lot of money. So this should be highly minimised by maintaining the standard of school curriculum to the level of these exams

The education policy should be framed such that it could best replace the old outdated policy of 1992. In the policy the the curriculum of the stateboards,CBSE,IGCSE,CICSE and other boards should be made uniform and of equal difficulty level so as reduce the knowledge barrier for each board student.

The must important task & challenges of Govt. is to solve unemployment problems.60% students could not continue their education due to economic plights. It is true that they should be given vocational training for skilled workers. In this issue, I have a neighbour Mr. B.K. Oha,68 years, BE(civil) engineer who is retired and willing to impart vocational training to poor dropped out students of Darjeeling District. If Govt.is willing, please contact early., it would be help to built the nation.
