If every citizen is willing to spare one hour in a month for his motherland, then we will clean our country very soon. Only Govt machinery is not able to clean the cities without public support. So I request to appeal all citizens - माह का एक घंटा मातृभूमी के नाम We do this in Kolhapur on last Sunday of the month. So my sincere request to you. Good morning everyone My name is Barun Kumar Hansdah. I am a graduate in microbiology honours bsc. My idea is that India is going to face water and clean air (oxygen) crisis in many cities including the capital in upcoming decades. To fight this government has taken a good initiative to introduce electric vehicles. But the fight is much bigger . We need to realise that water & clean air crisis is huge in the future. An solution to this suggested by me is that plantation of necessary, beneficial and adjustable plants on rooftops and balconies in buildings where it is suitable. Slowly but steadily if we do it at a striking rate we have a much better chance to achieve our goal of clean air and water in the near future . Yours sincerely Barun Kumar Hansdah

Respected Sir, I, Alekhya Veera Valli, am an Urban Designer from CEPT University. I have designed many Government Urban Design projects in association with a firm named ‘Kshetra Consultants’ and many of them got implemented all over Andhra Pradesh. But neither our firm nor I got any recognition in terms of both name and pay. Even though many in our country pursued Urban Design from India’s top most University, most of our Urban Design fraternity are not practicing Urban Design. Instead, they are shifting their career to other streams like small scale Architecture/ Interiors etc. or looking for opportunities in foreign countries because of lack of opportunities, getting underpaid and have no recognition. So, I would like to bring to your notice that there is a need to bring about more opportunities for urban designers in the government sector for people like me, who are very passionate about their career, at the same time craving for a chance to serve our motherland.
