Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is glad to inform its citizens that Mangalore has been shortlisted among 100 cities which are ought to be developed as Smart Cities in concurrence ...

Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is glad to inform its citizens that Mangalore has been shortlisted among 100 cities which are ought to be developed as Smart Cities in concurrence to the Smart City Mission Guidelines of MoUD, GOI. Based on the responses received from citizens during Round one and two alongside considering the scheme guidelines, the Corporation has proposed two pan-city proposals, highlighted as below;

1. “One Touch Mangaluru”
2. Smart Utility Management System for water, waste management and electricity

More details of the project are available in the MCC website.

All citizens of Mangaluru are requested to go through the project details and submit their views w.r.t the proposals through www.mygov.in

Last date for submission is 11th December 2015.

We request you to kindly make your voices count in the due process.

It can be clean city to become a smart city my suggestion is that on each road there should be a dustbin side by a road .washroom should be maked on side of each and every road. Each road should be clean and a colony also ne clean. It can be a Wi-Fi city. By making some clean government school so that the poor people child can also get education etc.

Centralised Traffic Enforcement solutions should be installed state wide which should include ANPR, RLVD, Overspeed & Centralised Penalty Management Solution. I have attached a presentation which encapsulate the total requirement. Also cities should have IT based Solid waste management system to keep track of waste management systems

People should take in account themselves on how to make their City smart. They should not through garbage etc. on roads, in front of neighbors houses, in the parks. Nagar Nigam can provide us with the amenities but it is the sole responsibility of citizens of Mangalore to co-operate with the authorities and not just blaming the corporation.

1- Broader roads with divider n green belt to reduce traffic jam. 2- Rain water recycling unit to maintain underground water label 3- Earthquake resistance buildings. 4 - Proper Law nd order should be maintained. 5 - City bus facility should be improved. 6 - Metro train. 7 - CCTV cameras on majar streets. 8 - Garbage dumping facility. 9 - Proper drainage system in every locality. 10 - Wi-fi availability on major super markets.

We have to plan for industrial wastage management which should not effect the river, lakes and ponds. separate drainage system should plan, and also Basic supplies of water, LPG and electricity should go under ground pipeline to every house, solar energy should be used maximum not as alternate source it should be used as a primary source of energy.. Historical things should be taken care... instead of making all westernization culture our traditions and culture things should be shown
