The Government of India issued guidelines for the promotion of payments through cards and digital means on 29th February, 2016. The guidelines can be seen (here). A Committee was also constituted under the Chairmanship of Shri Ratan P Watal, Principal Advisor, NITI Ayog and Former Finance Secretary with key industry stakeholders, RBI and concerned Government Departments to review medium term measures necessary to promote the digital payment system in the Country. The Committee’s report can be seen here.

The Department of Economic Affairs, Government of India invites public Comments / suggestions on the report. We invite you to read the report and provide your valuable feedback and suggestions by 11th January 2017. The final decision on the Report will be taken after considering the comments/suggestions received on the Report.

Sir Prime Minister, I appreciate your digital India plan which we all should follow but some private hospitals were not taking cash digitally. They are charging huge money just for consult around 300 or 400. I advise you to take action against them immediately. With thanks Ashitosh Sah Lecturer physics Govt Inter College Patlot Nainital. first you have to maintain internet service properly, i m from hapur pin code 245101 Uttarpradesh, i am useing BSNL wifi service regularly but i m sorry to say you that our hapur bsnl department services is v v bad, not a single day we recv signal ful day, may be they are the govt servant and they have no duty to give good service. idea of cash lass india is v v good but first we have to make good internet service

I stay in Bangalore.Regarding cashless payments I have noticed that the Goverment organisations accept only cash payments for their services.Following are the important places: 1.Main Mother dairy outlet in Yalhanka New town. 2. All Metro stations.Even for buying the smart card for traveling by Metro trains we have to shell out cash only!!! Please do the needful.
