Shri Pradhan Mantri ji, Rashtriya Military School, Bengaluru which is run by Raksha Mantralaya is having a statue of King George VI at main entrance. The statue reminds us of atrocities and barbarism committed on our countrymen during colonial rule. Even after 75 years of ending colonial rule in our country, we are still having colonial rulers statue in a premier institute which produces defenders of this country in the form of officers of National Defence Academy. The young cadets should have a role model statue which inspires them and instills Deshbhakti, love and affection towards Maatrubhoomi and which reminds the sacrifices of our fore fathers towards ending colonial rule in this country. A statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is better suited for that Institute as he led Azaad Hind Fouj and made the colonial rulers to get away from this country. Jai Hind... Dear Sir, Namaskar. It is a matter of concern that pachyderms are dying of electrocution in Jharkhand. High tension electric wires are causing deaths. There has been death of more than 10 elephants in the recent past. Today's newspaper has highlighted the deaths of 5 elephants (2 babies included) in Musabani block of East Singhbhum district. The incidents are heart wrenching and speak of apathy and complacence of the Forest department. Urging your kind intervention to provide safety to our wildlife reserve and prevent deaths resulting from administrative inaction. Regards. Dr Binita Panigrahi Jamshedpur
