Sir, When we look at war history we find that very often, empty transport carriers (buses/trucks bulk in numbers) are ferried on sensitive routes through multiple routes in war zones to camouflage the situation and confuse enemy about the bulk presence. Sending covered transport carrier (empty) on sensitive routes could also help in detection of terrorist presence and intention. Sending buses with soldiers in a sensitive zone was not only a failure of intelligence but it was a planning failure!

WHAT FAILED AND WHAT WE SHOULD DO TO PREVENT REPETITION OF INCIDENT LIKE CRPF TRAGEDY IN KASHMIR Our forces are at immense risk 24*7*365 with the hostile neighboring country having perfect synch with local Kashmiri people. It is a known fact that the hostility of neighboring country has partially extended in across the section of society in Kashmir with enemy’s agents hiding everywhere. Each step taken by commanders in the area must follow “war strategy” as routine plans will not work.
