The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

प्रणाम प्रधानमंत्री जी । हमें देश कि सुरक्षा के नजरिये से देखते हुए देश कि सीमा पर तथा देश के भीतर भी ऐसे टावर लगवाने चाहिए जो किसी भी ड्रोन को पाँच किलोमीटर कि दूरी से ही उसे भांप कर तथा सतर्क होकर उस ड्रोन को हानी पहुँचाने से रोका जाए तथा उसका विनाश किया जा सके।जय माँ भारती।

Can you add in Part III Drone Certification subsection (6) Integration with emerging systems beyond location with NavIC /Satellite or A-GPS to include Post Research prototype certification for future cellular LoRa and non-cellular access for IoT/5G use case with new technology & business models in Form D-5 - Part D - Drone specifications and documents (For each operational drone) - 26. Radio Comm. I/F(s) options - Satellite, cellular, Lora, WiFi. One more can you extend age limit 66 to 72?

The ministry of civil aviation (MoCA) on Thursday released the updated draft Drone Rules, 2021 for public consultation, which will soon replace the UAS (unmanned aircraft system) Rules 2021 that was released on 12 March 2021, the ministry said in a statement. According to the draft Drone Rules 2021, operating drones without unique identification number will not be allowed, unless exempted. Drone operators will have to generate a unique identification number.
