The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Sir, this helps in festivals ,heavy crowd places, tourist places, like water falls, boating. But drone system should be central government vigilance because, it can used against women security, drone laws must be very strict . And Adhar card, must like only licenced person only can operate otherwise we recently seen terrorist groups how they used. Drone can be used for medical purposes in hilly areas, no roads in villages, rescue in nature calamities, be very careful.

All drones should be registered with DGCA and per drone should have DAN and owner must have OAN untill it is using non-commercial! Drone Cannot be used without Acquiring GPS then Special Tast Forces should get notified that this and that drone is being flown in Controlled Airspace! and local police in sensitive areas must have technologies to see/recognise/neutralise that drone! I have 1 drone and it weights 595gms and it's micro cat. I want country's security first so want good rules available.

Respected Sir ji drone ka use kar sakate hai lekin sirf khilone ke taur par. kyunki drone ke jaisa hi toy helicopter aata hai lekin sirf itana dhyan rakhna hai ki uski range jyada nahi honi chahiye. range jyada hogi to dur jayega na. jaise remote control car ki range hoti hai vaise hi uski range cum ki ja sakati hai.
