The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

Drones operate from 900 MHz to 5.8 GHz should not interfere with radio, wireless communication of both military & civil aviation.Drone is useful tool in many applications. There are more positive points Every country has a challenge to safeguard against misuse. We have jammers but will be difficult to have it everywhere. How every country is having regulations to safeguard misuse has to be studied both operations & rules wise. Framing them to our advantage, cost saving & in safe hands is important

Should make a digital collection of all licencies and their drones. Connect gps during licencing.should prohibit in some areas. Licence issuing and other related thing should manage only by CENTRAL MINISTRY Should prohibit drone movements out of states. Its movements should allow WITH IN THE STATE ONLY. Should consider its negetives like transporting weapons, explosives, drugs.... Should use electronic equipments to detect it licenced or not from the ground itself while it flying or not.

The dorne technology is very useful and important in this information era. Their are several important uses like drones used in surveillance, rescue, traffic monitoring, firefighting used in remote ares as wll as it has some major concerns and it can be missused and can cause lot of damge. so we should regulate it use through some special body or though stae police since we cannot avoid its use in this modern days and a unique number/number plate/series/color should provide for each type of drone a

Sir when the mentality of the opposition's axis is so destructive,as apparent in the Parliament House; we should be very cautious of 1) uses, 2) sizes , 3) eligibility of lacense etc. Let it be for next term of yours, when may be thinking level of the opposition is a bit uplifted towards the National interest

R/sir, 1) In developed countries, drone flying is permitted in vast open areas like parks developed around wetland area, lakes etc for recreational purpose. We should have similar designated areas for drone flying. 2) We have seen use of drones for photoshoot in crematorium during pandemic in Delhi. Same photos are used in foreign media for propaganda against India. Such use must be banned and consider as cognizable offence under IPC.

R/sir While going through UK rules, a clause on protecting privacy of people is observed. This is not covered in our drone rules. This should be incorporated in our drone rules. For details see https://register-drones.caa.co.uk/drone-rules 2) Commercial use of drones for delivery etc is not permitted. Normally drones are for recreational purpose and with weight less than 500 gms and other is less than 2 kg. 3) Stricter rules apply for safety and it should be within site of flyer at all times

The word "DRONE" play a significant rule in our near future. It may change the concept of marketing, defence system, entertainment too. I believe the rules need updating system according to the demand of time. Govt should categorically divide three type of user 1. Private 2. public 3. Govt. I would like to thank Govt and the system for giving me a opportunity to write my view on such important subject.
