The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued draft rules to ensure ease of using drones in India on the basis of trust, self-certification, and non-intrusive monitoring. The Drone Rules, 2021, once notified, will supersede the UAS Rules, 2021, which came into force on March 12 this year.

The Rules aim to make the process of owning, possessing, exporting, importing, manufacturing, trading, leasing, operating, transferring, or maintaining a drone in India, simpler and hassle-free. For that, the draft rules seek to abolish the requirement of various approvals, ranging from certificate of conformance, certificate of maintenance, import clearance, to student remote pilot licences.

Besides, it proposes the development of drone corridors for cargo deliveries and a drone promotion council to be set up to facilitate a drone-friendly regulatory regime in the country.

Click here to view The draft of Draft Drone Rules, 2021, which is issued for public consultation for seeking feedback and suggestions.

The last date of submission is August 5, 2021.

With the technology developing the usage of drones has been increased. We do see that it is being used for general purpose. This can be controlled by 1.Restricting it's usage in high tension disturbed areas. 2.Drones should be registered and they should be provided with the license like how we do for vehicles. 3.Sales of drone should follow multiple procedure and sold by authenticated retailers recognized by Government of India.

Sir My opinion that if we separate this act by three categories as primary,Secondary, untollerable Now a days peoples use drone for spying bathrooms.spyong restricted areas by gov, military bases...I appriciate Ayush Prasad ..we should adding vehicle number/unique Id that controlled by user and gov and access data from a secure places for hacking problem of drones. otherwise later days we facing the power of innovation...Because Though who have inventing may accessable without unique id...

we can have drone no as we have chechis number in vehicles so that the buyer can be accountable as well as responsible if drone found in unethical activity. Also having a strict drone licensing policy, authenticated seller in market and limiting companies in manufacturing drone will help in tracking activity.

This can be gripped with the education policy so that the students' learning-teaching is observed and act accordingly. The license has to be updated every 5-10 years tenure to be administered usage. Lastly, the drone is under observation through the assessment by the authority to be under observation and avoid the misuse

Sir, common citizens who wish to own drone for some limited service such as photography & video shootings etc should be given ownership of only prototype drones and sophisticated drones ownership licences r to sanctioned through proper scrutiny from purposes to uses and their regular service etc. policy makers, experts, drone manufacturing companies and govt must be involved for framing draft rules on drones by taking atmost importance to citizens life, safety and country's security for bettermnt

Sir, indian railway should be equipped with drone services to maintain railway tracks so that human pushing trolley practices still continuing by railway will be done away with drone services and motorised pushing trolleys only and there should be a complete ban on human pushing trolleys on uses in railways unless we can not free ourselves from slavery and British mindsets of aristocracy. owning of drones by our railway can do a drone corridor also bcz railway owns land as across country forthat
