At present roof top solar panels are provided from govt. for power generation. They are very costly. Buyer gains nothing but loses his open space. Drastic cost reduction even by subsidy, is must to make it popular. By tapping solar energy in a big way, subsidy will be recovered. All villages can get electricity through this with not much network requirements. Make it a user friendly scheme and also give a wide publicity to make it popular. Dilipkumar Mehta

To promote for installation of Solar-roofs atop every home,Govt. should provide the following concessions: 1. Tax exemptions for the amount spent for renewable-energies under something like 80S. 2. Give concession in energy bills for all those who contribute to renewable energies.

Govt.of India is trying their best for RE utilization. Some State Nodal Agencies are pro-active, others are not. Common people still not aware about the benefits. Applications may be invited by MNRE from Registered bodies of each State, who will do the task of sensitizing people through various routes voluntarily. Actual expenditure for Awareness Campaign in Schools/Housing Societies/Industries may be reimbursable within the guideline by MNRE.

For most of the devices using renewable energy source, a battery is must. Batteries are very bulky & costly. R & D is required for small sized high capacity fast charging batteries at low cost. Another field of R & D is solar cells. We have a lot of solar energy that west lacks. To utilize it, we need to have solar cells with very high efficiency that can reduce its size from present one. Since decades R&D is on but at lowest priority. ISRO is a research orgn., they can Surely do it. Dilip Mehta

Establish small small libraries all over India where children (from class 1-12 or any college) are encouraged to donate their books after they pass their exam. School can collect and hand over these books these libraries. These old and used books can be given to in need marginalised student or who ever needs them on rent at very subsidized rate. For eg new book costing Rs 200 can be given at 10-20rs after use to child in need. This may prevent paper wastage and encourage education

Everyday lots of garbage is spilled on the road as there are no dustbins kept for ages. There should be proper waste disposal. Two types of dustbins can be implanted on the roads, streets and colonies. One for kitchen, paper or food waste and another for rest of the waste like dust etc The kitchen or food waste can be used for energy or feeding cattle

As solar more efficient in India. By promoting solar based generating units including controller, grid connection, load ports compatible with exiting loads like CFL, TV, Fans , cooler, refrigerator, cell phones. This should be done more efficient way by avoiding losses. There is only one Indian company proving the solution http://www.cygni.com/products-2/ collaboration with IIT madras, NREC, This method expanded to many companies providing cheapest. Subsidized for rural and urban area

In each govt. Building or offices there is wastage of water and electricity as its free. Hence electricity and water in these offices should have upper maximum cut off to be free, after that it should be chargeable like the mobile data plan. This may have some bearing on people to switch of the AC when not in use
